World Spares, a family run business, was established in 1995 importing CV Joints from “GLO” and CV Boots from “GOMET” in Italy.

In 1997 we approached “Metelli Company” in Italy and became an authorised distributor for South Africa. With Metelli behind them every step of the way, World Spares’ sales of CV Joints grew incredibly and in 2001, started importing Metelli “Brake Hydraulics.”

In 2002, Metelli “Brake Discs” and “Water Pumps” where introduced into the South African market with huge success. Metelli “Brake Pads” came into the market in 2009 and have also had a resounding success amongst its customers.

Presently, World Spares imports all “Metelli” products directly from Italy, which includes: CV Joints, Driveshafts, Water Pumps, Timing Kits WITH Water Pumps, Brake Hydraulics, Brake Pads, Brake Discs, Brake Shoes, Brake Drums and now from February 2020, Concentric Slave Cylinders.

In 2012, World Spares acquired the sole agency and distribution rights to import “Tecneco” filters from Italy. This includes: Oil, Air, Fuel, Diesel and Cabin Filters.

Over the past few years, World Spares has grown from strength to strength, importing from Italian manufacturers, namely:
O.S.R.A.V (Shock Absorbers)
Brecav (Pencil Coils, Coil packs and Ignition Leads)
Falga (CV and Steering Rack Boots)
Breda (Fanbelt Roller and Tensioners, Crankshaft Pulleys, Wheel Bearing Kits)
OMEC (Timing Chain Kits)

In May 2019, World Spares, acquired the rights to import from 2 other Italian companies, namely:
Redaelli Ricambi (Steering and Suspension)
Impergom (Rubber products ie Mountings, Couplings, etc.)

World Spares only imports directly from the manufacturer, which in many cases are OEM and OES suppliers. World Spares have a personal relationship with all the owners of all the factories, so that, in the rare case of a problem, can be solved immediately.
